The Heartland Kids’ Coloring & Activity Book is more than a fun activity book — it’s a mission-driven project designed to teach children about service dogs, honor the Veterans who rely on them, and support Heartland Canines for Veterans in training life-saving dogs for those who served.
Every page features real Heartland service dogs, Veteran stories, and interactive activities that help kids understand courage, empathy, and what it truly means to “Never Walk Alone.”
The book is distributed at schools, libraries, veteran events, and community programs, giving families a positive and meaningful introduction to service dogs and the work they do.
Veterans across our nation depend on highly trained service dogs to navigate PTSD, anxiety, mobility challenges, night terrors, and daily life. Each dog takes months of training and thousands of dollars to prepare — and Heartland provides them at no cost to the Veteran.
